My New Year's Eve Outfit and Make up Look

Hello everyone! I know it's only the 28th of December, but I wanted to share with you the outfit and look that I've chosen to do for New Year's Ever party I'm attending this year. It's a house party with tons of my friends, but we usually all dressed up so I figured this look is appropriate :)

- Head to Toe Count -

Hair: Curled side-swept and kept in tacked with bobby pins
Face: Green Smokey Look using my coastalscents 88 regular pallette
Necklace: Wetseal $1.00?? I got it when they were having extra 70% off clearance items
Dress: Forever 21 $11.50.
Ring: Charlotte Russe $4.00
Shoes: I had these shoes for awhile now I forgot where and how much I got them sorry :(

The dress is your typical simple black dress. It has a sweetheart neckline, it's strapless. It's body-hugging,  but at the same time it's a little poofy on the hip area. It also has 2 packets on the side front of the dress by the hip area. It's a mini dress, so it pretty much goes about 3-5 inches up from my knees. It still looks long on me because I'm short tee hee!

NOTW: French Tip with a Twist of Purple

If you ladies remember I painted my nails about a week ago with a Candy cane inspired look, but Christmas is done so I have to retire that look. Tonight I decided to do something simple, but with a twist of color. I always love French Manicure coz I feel like it's classy and very simple and neat, but sometimes I get bored with seeing my nails with just white tip.

So here's what I came up with ^_^

I hope everyone had a peaceful and happy Christmas. Mine wasn't too bad. The bf and I went to his parents' house on Christmas Eve to celebrate with them.

After that we went to the my mom's place to visit her and her boyfriend on Christmas day. I was sooooo freaking full because I ate like a little piggy. I had to 'coz my mom made some Filipino food and I rarely get to eat her home cooked meal ^_^

Here's me and my mom's little Chihuahua, Mico. He used to not like me so I was surprised when he let me hold him ^_^ I want a doggie sooo bad :(

So the next day, the bf and I were kinda bored coz we were back home. So we decided to check out the local Flea Market that's located about 15 minutes from us. No luck on finding anything worth enough to buy, but I ended up getting my favorite Funnel cake and Chilidog! I always have some of these whenever we go there lol!

 I know my Chilidog had already bitten, but I remember to take pictures after I already took a bite tee hee.

Oh Em Gee!!! I ate these cookings left and right! So good, but not good for my weight...arrgg!!! Time to go back to the gym.

So how about you ladies, how was your Christmas? What did you do? Sorry for tons of pictures. I have this problem on deciding which pictures I love the most so I ended up putting almost all of them coz I love them all! By the way I know there's no picture of the bf and I, but there's none that I've took that we both look good or decent ( tee hee )

Holiday Look # 2 Cranberry and Pinks

Ok I wanted to a look that inspires cranberries. Let me know what you ladies think. I'm actually going to be using this look tonight to visit my boyfriend's family for Christmas eve's party. His family opens their gifts on Christmas eve so we pretty much spend the 24th at their house.

I don't usually like pink eyeshadow on my skin tone. I feel like it doesn't suit me. What do you ladies think? Should I keep using pink eyeshadow? I'm also sporting the spiky false eyelashes to make my eyes a little more wider. I don't wear contact lenses so those are my real eye colors. I would love to try a different color for my eyes to see how they'd look, but I'm scared that I'll poke my eyes with the contacts lol!

Product Swatches: ELF Nail Polishes

Well this is not really swatches, but I felt like if you look at the colors of these nail polishes on the picture taken below, these are their real colors (depending of course on how many coats you apply) ELF nail polishes are a hit or miss kinda ordeal. In my own experience with them I can honestly tell you that the darker colors are way too dark than the swatch on their site even though you only apply 1 coat on your nails. I actually like the lighter color of the line because they're more true to colors in my opinion.



Top Left to Right: Berry Pink, Dark Navy, White
Bottom Left to Right: Light Pink, Blush, Mod Mauve

Pros:
- Inexpensive $1.00
- Pigmented
- Last long if you used a great top coat ei: Seche Vite
Cons:
- Could be streaky depending on the color
- Not true to color on the site
- The colors are darker on the dark colors than you want
- The names are a little bit confusing, ei: Dark Navy is close to being black

Product Swatches: ELF Mineral Lipgloss

So did I ever tell you how I love my ELF Mineral Lipglosses?!?! These babies are amazing!! I know they're only lipglosses, but I really love them because they're very pigmented, not sticky at all, and moisturizing to my lips!!!

Ok I wanted to show you some swatches of my new ELF Mineral Lipsticks on my bare lips. Unfortunately I suck at taking pictures really close and also my camera is not the best at taking detailed pictures. So sorry for the awful mediocre swatches, but I hope this post kinda helps you if you're thinking about buying some of these from eyeslipsface.com




Here are the swatches of each colors on my lips:



This color is actually pretty rosy color. I love that it's close to my real lips' color.



This color I HATE!! I know it's a strong word, but I can't stand how it applies. It's so streaky and also it makes me look like I'm dead!!



This color is my absolute favorite red tone lipsticks!!! I've pretty much have used this almost everyday ever since I got this in the mail ^_^



This color I love when I want that nude lip color. It's a perfect color and also it doesn't make me look like I'm one of those character who belongs to the Cullen clan hahahaha!



This color is close to the Ripe Rose, but a little darker. I do like this also ^_^

My Overall Verdict?

If you're looking for a very pigmented lipsticks, meaning that if you apply some on your lips that the color will totally hide your real lip color then this line is not for you. These lipsticks are very sheer, but buildable, but it'll always won't completely cover your entire lips. I do love these because they're very moisturizing. I don't like it when I apply lipsticks that I need to use a balm under it then a gloss afterwards. That's a lot of work. These lipsticks you can get away with not using a balm and even a gloss except if you really want that shiny lips.

For the price of it, these are awesome! They're only $3.00 and look how sleek the container looks!!! I love it! It looks like a spent at least $20 on it. So yeah I definitely recommend you ladies trying these, but not the Nicely Nude though lmao!!!
